k-palette lasting 2 way eyebrow liquid & powder in #3 (mocha brown)

my last year lesson plan in makeup including properly draw my eyebrow. although i have quite thick eyebrow, it's not as pretty as those eyebrows in instagram (little did i know that no one should have the same eyebrow as the one you see on instagram!), so i decided to learn how to draw my eyebrow. i've tried their 3 in 1 eyebrow product and i like it, so i want to try the 2 in 1 just to find out which one i like better. let me remind you that i'm a full time mom, and my time in the morning is very limited so i have to draw my eyebrow real quick real fast. that's why eyebrow wax isn't in my wish list. so.. let's find out about this baby.

this is description that i could find from hermo website: a super hit liquid eyebrow pencil and with eyebrow powder at the other end. ultra fine (sharp) brush, quick drying, in film-type colorant with high resistance to sweat and tears, while still easy to remove by lukewarm water, or eyemakeup remover.

the packaging
back of the box
the packaging: it comes in plastic box, you can see the description at front, whether it's the 2 in 1 or the 3 in 1. there's also a 2-step instruction at front, thankfully it has picture on it since the text is in japanese. on the bottom left corner you can see the shade number and probably the shade name written in japanese. at the back there are more texts but everything is in japanese.
the liquid pen and the box
the color: mine is mocha brown. i don't have my previous eyebrow pencil to compare with this, but this one is a dark brown with a hint of red tone in it. a slightly bit lighter than my previous k palette eyebrow pencil, but it is still dark enough and matches my eyebrows just okay.
the liquid brush tip
the product: the product is a dual-end pen, one side is the liquid side and the other one is the powder side. on the liquid side, you will get brush tip to dispense the liquid product. basically it's like a watercolor version of liquid eyeliner. on the powder side, there's a pointed sponge that will dip into a powder cap so you can get the powder on the sponge.

the sponge tip
the result: the liquid side will give you a wash of color, not as vibrant as liquid eyeliner, but if you draw layers of it, you can fill the gap in your eyebrow. now, i know that some liquid eyebrow product can mimic hair strokes, but since this is a brush tip, somehow i can't seem to draw proper hair strokes. but the result is not as sharp as eyebrow pencil. the sponge tip is more pointy than the sponge tip in the 3 in 1 eyebrow pencil, so it's easier to put eyebrow powder on top of the eyebrow liquid without smudging over the eyebrow border. but, it takes one or two dips into the cap to completely coat both eyebrows with powder, while the 3 in 1 eyebrow pencil could cover both eyebrows in just one dip. while it's wet, you can still fix the error you make by rubbing it off with finger, but when it's set, it won't budge. as for waterproof, i won't say that this is completely waterproof, but it stays when i have to walk under the rain. just don't rub it.

honestly, after trying this one, i can't decide which one i like better. i like the 3 in 1 pencil because it's easier to draw with eyebrow pencil, but the powder shade is too dark for my liking. fortunately, it has spoolie end to help making it more natural. while the 2 in 1 eyebrow liquid is more subtle, i can build up the intensity and the sponge tip is easier to use since it's pointy. but it doesn't have spoolie so i have to keep my eyebrow pencil only for the spoolie. another downside, it takes a while to draw using liquid, so it's not suitable for my morning rush. i think i will grab them both the next time. i'll use the pencil for daily and then the liquid for special occasion or weekend when i have more time in doing my makeup. have you tried this one? which one do you prefer?
